AntAcidAudio

Great, another record label. What exactly is AntAcidAudio?

First, what it isn't. It is not part of Ipecac Recordings. It is completely separate. The only thing they have in common is that the owner, Greg, is also one of the 2 owners of Ipecac. Mike Patton has NOTHING to do with AntAcidAudio and he wants to keep it that way.

So what IS it? There is a lot of great music out there. A lot of it does not quite fit on Ipecac, sonically speaking. Ipecac is an herb that induces vomiting, while antacid soothes your stomach. Think of AntAcidAudio as an orphanage for wayward musicians. It is a partnership with some great artists. Most of the releases will be co-releases with artist owned labels. We are excited to be working with these great artists. We won't be putting out as much as other labels do and we are not looking for bands. Hope you come along for the ride! We have some very good stuff lined up.

It is time to unleash the devil!

The very first release from AntAcidAudio is almost upon us. In a collaboration with our friends at Rekord Rekords we are happy to present the much anticipated debut release from EAGLES OF DEATH METAL titled "PEACE LOVE DEATH METAL" on March 23rd. This buzzed about band is fronted by Jesse "the devil" Hughes who MUST be seen. The band also features Josh Homme (QOTSA, Desert Sessions) on drums and Timmy Millionaire on geetar. We have a handful of nice intimate club shows to report and look for them on the Conan O'Brian show on April 7th. Be the first on your block to embrace the moustache!!!!

Our second release, due in April is a co-release with Wrong Records. If you don't know who NoMeansNo is, it is never too late. "THE PEOPLES CHOICE" is a compilation of songs the fans chose to chronicle the career to date of one of the greatest punk rock bands ever, Canada's finest, NoMeansNo!!!!
